Most people know that Roulette involves a spinning wheel with numbered slots in it and a ball that is sent around that wheel. Until just before the ball drops in a slot (and the croupier says 'No More Bets') you can place your bet. The game in Europe and the United States differs a little, because European Roulette as 37 slots (36 numbers plus one zero) while American Roulette has 38 slots (two positions for zero on the wheel).
How to Play Roulette
1) The table is marked with various places where you can put your betting mark, and the game starts after everyone has done so. You can continue betting until the croupier stops the betting phase.
2) As soon as the ball drops in the slot, the croupier marks that place on the table, collects the bets from the losers and pays the winners.
3) You can win some proportion of the total winning stake if your number is close to the winning number.
The house advantage The casino has a house advantage of 2.7% when there is only one zero and 5.26% when there are two zeros.
'En Prison' rule The ball lands on zero. You can reclaim half your bet or leave it on the table En Prison (in prison) for a second betting round. This cannot continue to a third round.
' La Partage' rule Here when the ball lands on the zero, you only have the option to reclaim half your bet La Partage.
