This can be a confusing game because there are many ways to place your bets. That's why it makes sense to study the rules first. If you do this, you can understand the game quickly, which is based on throwing the dice in turn. The first time you throw, this is called a Come Out roll. If you get 2, 3, 7, 11, or 12, you win the game, there and then. However when you get 4, 5, 6, 8, 9, or 10, you have a Point and basically you roll again.
There are two side areas on the Craps table for placing bets: these areas are called Pass and Don't Pass line bets, Come and Don't Come bets, Odds bet, Place bets and Field bets. The table also has a center area, when you can place a Proposition bet.
Winning/losing plays
Pass Bets / Don't Bets - In the first case, when you get 7 or 11 in a Come Out bet, you will win, while 2, 3, or 12 makes you lose. In the second case you win with 2 or 3 and lose with 7 or 11. If you get 12, you tie and roll again. This is called Don't Bets Tie
Types of bets
Pass Line Bet - Roll 7 or 11 to get a Natural Win. If you get 2, 3, or 12, that's a Natural Loss or Craps. If you make a bet only after you fix the Point on the pass line, this is called Come Bet .
Odds on Pass Line Bet - Take odds with another bet when you roll a Point. If you bet on the Come Bet and not the Pass Line bet, this is called Odds on Come Bet . The reverse situation is winning on 2 or 3 and losing on 7 or 11, which is called Don't Come Bet .
Place Bets - When fixing the Point and rolling 4, 5, 6, 8, 9 or 10, you can make this bet.
Field Bets - You bet everything on one roll of dice. Here are the winning numbers: 2, 3, 4, 9, 10, 11, 12. Big Six, Big Eight Bets - You can gamble that 6 or 8 will come up before a 7, in return for 1:1 odds.
