When you have two cards together (say an Ace and King) that together total 21 points, you have the winning hand in Blackjack. Everything here is centered around achieving that total, which is why the game is also called '21'. All face cards (like King) score 10 and of course the Ace is 11.
Gamblers like to play Blackjack because it gives them 3:2 odds and there are many ways to play: at a Private Table (just with the dealer), at a Group Table (inviting up to 3 friends) or at a Public Table (against other players on the Web). Rules
• Blackjack has 3:2 odds, meaning that a $10 bet will win you $15.
• You can 'Hit' (dealer giving you cards) until your card value reaches 16.
• You must 'Stand' when your card value gets to 17 you cannot get any more cards. Playing Blackjack
1) You determine what amount you want to bet and then click 'Deal' to start playing. The game begins when all players click 'Deal'.
2) The game begins at a Public/Group Table when a 30 second waiting period expires after that, no betting is possible.
3) When you get your cards, you will decide to Deal, Stand or Split. If the value of your cards exceeds 21, you 'Bust'. Until that point, you can get any number of cards.
4) You can bet any sum from $1 to $500 in Blackjack. 5) If the dealer has Blackjack at the same time as you, this is called 'Push' and means that your bet is returned to you.
